Getting so big!!!

Wow! It has been too long since I have updated my blog! Brayden is almost three months old and growing and learning every day! Yesterday he decided that he could roll over and just kept doing it every time I put him on his tummy. He loves to smile and talk to anyone who will listen, which is pretty dang cute if you ask me:) At his two month appointment Brayden weighed in at 12 lbs. and 15 oz. and measured at 25 inches long!!! Needless to say, we have a very big boy on our hands! Since our two month appointment Brayden has met a lot of his family: great-grand Mer, Uncle Daniel, Auntie Noel & Uncle Jason, cousin Emily, Wyatt and Elena, great cousin Mark, Matt, Steve, Keri, Nicole, Great Aunt Laura & great Uncle Michael, great cousin Erin & Tyler. It has been so much fun introducing Brayden to all the family. It has been a fun couple of months with Brayden and I can't wait for the months ahead as he learns and discovers much more!

Brayden Thomas Mitchell is here!!!

On Thursday, August 2, 2012 at 12:05 pm, we welcomed our little guy Brayden into the world! My water broke on Wednesday afternoon while hanging out with my sister and brother; so I called Ben at work and told him it was time to come home... "I think my water broke!!" We headed to the hospital where it was confirmed that indeed my water did brake and we were staying to have a baby. The look on Ben's face when they told us we were staying at the hospital was priceless. I think that actually hearing the nurse say that were we staying at the hospital to have a baby made it all become very real to Ben. It was a pretty long night and morning from that point on. After about 18 hours of labor and about 3 hours of pushing Brayden was FINALLY in my arms! I am so happy to finally have our healthy son in my arms. I love being a mom and am amazed on just how much I am instantly in love with this little guy. Things are going well at home; we are adjusting to life with a baby but we are loving every minute of it. Thank you for your prayers and support in the last few days, we feel so loved!

We were just told that we are staying at the hospital... About to be parents!

Last Pregnancy picture:) My fancy hospital gown, Thank you Ashley, I got so many compliments on my gown.

We are parents!!!

That is a happy, yet exhausted Mommy!

One happy Daddy!

41 weeks... LATE!

Week 41 of my pregnancy...

This is how I feel about being a week late:)

Brayden is a week late. If he hasn't shown up by Thursday morning we will be at the hospital to be induced. I am ready to have our little man here! I have enjoyed being pregnant but now I am ready to just be a mommy. Please pray that everything will go smoothly during labor and delivery.

39 weeks & 4 days

Here I am at 39 weeks and 4 days. I am due on Tuesday, but who knows when this little guy will show his face. I am very excited to meet Brayden.

Brayden's crib and the letter B. Ben's Grandpa made the letter.

I love sitting in our glider; can't wait to rock little Brayden.

The song "You are my sunshine" was sang to me as a child by my mom.

What a great piece to add to Brayden's room. This tree was made by Ashley Casey for my Family/Friends shower; the guests stamped their finger print as leaves and then signed their names. I love looking at this tree!! Thank you Shirley for this great gift from my shower; what a great idea!

I am in love with this plane!

This sweet bunny was given to me at my family shower by my mom & dad. I can already see Brayden dragging this bunny around by his ear. This is also a great shot of part of Brayden's bedding.

This is another gift given to me from my mom & dad.

This blanket was given to me by my Aunt Judy. My Oma made baby blankets for all of her grandchildren and for the great grandchildren before she passed away. My Oma started this blanket but was unable to finish it before she passed away; Aunt Judy found it and finished it for Brayden. This gift is very precious to me!

Brayden's 3-D ultrasound

Love those little fingers! Already not a fan of taking pictures.

I love how you can see such definition in his little nose and lips!

Brayden's smirk:)

Another nose and lips picture

Sleeps like his Daddy... arm around the face.

A couple of weeks ago Ben and I were blessed by a friend who did our 3-D ultrasound pictures for us. What an amazing experience to get a glimpse of Brayden's sweet little face! It is very fun to see things like his nose and think Brayden has Ben's nose (thank goodness;) and count each little finger. I have stared at these pictures for so long and each time they bring a smile to my face. I can't wait to hold him in my arms and count those little fingers and kiss that little nose!

Week 30..Ten weeks and Counting...

I can't believe that I am already wrapping up week number 30!!! As you can see in the pictures, our little Brayden is growing and growing:) Third trimester has brought many new fun things; Brayden has discovered my ribs, being able to watch my tummy move as Brayden does flips, and the lovely pregnancy waddle has begun. One of the biggest joys in pregnancy is being able to feel Brayden move around in my tummy, it never gets old. Brayden's movements are a constant reminder how blessed we have been to have a healthy active baby boy. My prayer daily is that Brayden will continue to stay healthy. It has been fun getting his room ready, doing our 3-D ultrasound, and just dreaming how it will be to hold our son in our arms!

More Pregnancy photos- Week 25

I can't believe that I am completing my 25th week of pregnancy. The last couple of weeks have been filled with excitement though. After many long conversations, Ben and I have named our little man: Brayden Thomas Mitchell. Brayden in the last couple of weeks has really started to move. Ben and I love to sit on the couch at night and watch my tummy as Brayden kicks and jabs all over the place. It is so amazing to feel Brayden move inside of me. It doesn't matter how many times I have felt him move, each time makes me smile and fills my heart with joy. I am so excited to meet our little man can't believe that its only about three months away.
